Saba Hameed is a well-known actress who has been working in both Pakistani movies and drama serials since along. The veteran actress has acted in various projects for which she gained huge acclaim. She was born on 21st June 1957, hailing from Lahore, Pakistan. She took the start of her career in the year 1978 and still, she is doing amazing work in the Pakistan film and TV industry. She is the daughter of a famed writer and columnist Hameed Akhtar. She got her education from the Lahore College of Women University.
In 1978, Saba Hameed took the start of her career and
started appearing in Pakistani serials during the 80s to the 90s. Since then,
she never looked back and continued struggles to accomplish her dreams. She has
worked in various TV serials and also performed in Pakistani movies including a
debut movie “Teera Kinara” which was released in the year 1988. Also, she
worked in “Mein Ek Din Laut Ke Aaunga” released in 2007. In 2013, she also made
an appearance in the movie “Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon”. In 2015, she also worked
in “Good Morning Karachi” and “Jawani Phir Nahin Aani”. In 2019, she was last
seen in the most popular movie “Kaaf Kangana”. Apart from this, she has worked
in more than 68 television serials for which she gained much appreciation and
love from fans and viewers. Some of her major hit serials include “Aatish”
starring Hina Altaf and Azfar Rehman, “Dil-e-Muztar”, “Choti Choti Baten”, “Ghalati”,
starring Affan Waheed and Hira Mani, “Dushman-e-Jaan” starring Mohib Mirza, “Kahin Deep Jalay”, “Mere Mohsin”, “Bhool”, “Khuda Mera
Bhi Hai”, “Muqabil” starring Mohsin Abbas and Kubra Khan and the list goes on. However, Saba Hameed is
undoubtedly a versatile actress who has the ability to win the hearts of her
natural performances. She has a huge fan following on all her social media
accounts and her fans sing the praise for her wonderful acting skills.
In 2012, Saba Hameed was honored with the Pride of
Performance Award by the President of Pakistan.
Initially, Saba Hameed got married to Syed Pervaiz Shafi, with whom she had two kids, Meesha Shafi who is a famed actress and singer, and a son named Faris Shafi who is also an actor and working in TV serials. Later, she married to the actor Waseem Abbas with whom she has a son named Ali Abbas.
