Sonya Rizvi, popularly known as Sonya Jehan- She was born on 24th April 1980, hailing from Karachi, Pakistan. She is the granddaughter of a famed late singer Noor Jehan and Shaukat Hussain Rizvi. While she is the wife of an Indian resident Vivek Narain, who is a Banker. Sonya Jehan is an actress who has worked in the Pakistan film industry and also worked in the Bollywood film industry. Also, she has launched a French Restaurant “Café Flo” in Karachi. She grew up in Lahore with parents and siblings. Her mother’s name is Florence Rizvi and her father’s name is Akbar Hussain Rizvi. While she has a brother named Sikandar Rizvi who is also an actor. It seems her family has a strong association with film and music background as her grandfather Shaukat Hussain was a producer. While her cousin brother Ahmed Ali Butt is an actor and her Zille Huma (Singer) is her aunt.

Sonya Jehan has done her O’levels and A’ levels. Later she got a degree in Design from the reputed Central St.Martins College of Art and Design. After completing her studies, she then decided to build a career in the field of acting. So, she worked in the Hollywood, Bollywood, and Pakistan film industry. She has gained immense love from fans and also received huge praise from everyone. Sonya Jehan made her Bollywood debut with the movie “Taj Mahal” which was a historical romantic movie in which she worked alongside Kabir Bedi and she played the role of Mumtaz. For that role, she got positive reviews and much acclaim for giving outstanding performance. Later, she appeared in another Bollywood movie “Khoya Khoya Chand” in which she worked alongside heartthrob actor, Shiney Ahuja. Also, she made an appearance in another popular movie “My Name is Khan” starring superstar Shahrukh Khan and a famed actress Kajol Devgan. It became an instant hit and rocked at the Box Office. While it was directed by Karan Johar. She also made a Hollywood debut with “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” which was a political thriller. In the movie, she worked alongside Kate Hudson and a famed Pakistani singer-actress Meesha Shafi. The film was based on Mohsin Hamid’s novel with the same name. Fortunately, the movie became popular and got positive reviews. However, Sonya Jehan is one of the finest actresses and she has made her identity in the cinematic world.
